The backing sheet is from the DCWV range of Once Upon A Time papers and is 12” x 12” cardstock (which means is slight stiffer than ordinary paper and useful if you want to add a lot of embellishments).
There are a huge range of scrapbook papers to choose from - so many assorted colours and designs (& thicknesses). So what you use is very much down to personal choice or the theme you are working on!
I've used double-sided tape to stick the photo onto a sheet of matting paper. The one used measures 4.5” x 6.5” and is a good size for the average photo.
Finally I've dotted some 3D copper coloured flowers and matching hand-cut flower embellishments around the page just to give it a bit more texture. These ones are sticky backed so really easy to use.
I used 3D double-sided sticky foam pads behind the flowers to make them stand out. The word MUM is made from sticky-backed letters which we stock in a variety of colours and styles
You can add as much or as little detail as you like and as many photos as you like.
Here I've created a very simple page just to give you an idea of how to get started.
